Does anyone know where I can locate a computerized AD listing or software for a Cessna 150G? The previous owner of my plane had one and it makes tracking AD compliance much easier at annual but I have been unable to contact him to see where he got his. Thanks,
Reece Daniel
I don't know of any web site where this information is readily available for a specific airplane model and year. All ADs are available from the FAA web site, but you have to compile the list yourself. Airframe, engine, and accessory ADs are under the manufacturer's name, so you have to know what you have in your airplane and who made it (Cessna, Teledyne Continental, Bendix, etc.) and the part/model numbers. The original equipment list plus the logbooks should give you that information. That is how I compiled the AD list for my C-172. There should also be a history of AD compliance recorded in your log books. You can also purchase this list, along with all the service bulletins, from Cessna.
As far as I can tell the service bulletins are not available on the FAA web site. If you have seen some of my other posts, you can see they often contain important service information. Once you are the registered owner, Cessna will send you any new AD notices or service bulletins, but you have to purchase any preceding notices. Hope this helps.
EVERY Annual inspection this information is required to be provided to you by the IA returning the airplane to service. This is normally referred to as an AD recurring list and "is supposed" to list each accessory/component of your airplane and the status of that accessory/component. The only way to be positive that everything was checked for Airworthiness Directives is to generate a component list which is the root of the AD recurring list. I do this every day and is a PITA but is mandated by the FAR's. The owner/operator is ultimately responsible for maintaining this information, recommend asking your IA where this info is...
AD research is provided to current COO members at no charge by our technical support staff. Jon is correct in that it is a time consuming process that involves separate searches for airframe, engine, prop and accessory AD's.
Our office maintains an extensive Service Bulletin library as well, but we are prohibited from simply making this information available on-line by Cessna's strict copyright interpretation. The only exceptions to this are AD-related SB's. If you require a copy of a specific SB or Service Letter, contact our office, and we'll can track it down for you at no charge (members only, of course). If by chance we do not have a particular bulletin on hand, we can obtain it from Wichita in a day or so.

Thanks,
I certainly appreciate the information. I have a list of previous...up to 2007..... AD's for my plane and they are separated by recurring and one time fix. All I will need is to update that list for any new AD's or SB's for 2008 before I do my annual.
By the way, the cost of my membership here was the best investment I have ever made when it comes to plane ownership.
