I have a 1958 C172 with new paint. I am working with my paint shop to determine what exactly is needed exterior placards wise. I have been to make websites and they just have generic sets for 100 series Cessna's. Does anyone have a knowledge of exactly what is needed? Thanks!

From a legal standpoint, the fuel tanks fillers need to be placarded with the type of fuel and capacity. Some placard the elevators and rudder with "NO PUSH" and the static port on the fuselage is also identified. There is also a requirement for an exterior data tag required by FAR 45.11(d).
