I'm an owner of 182RG (1978) - I like it so much.
recently I got an offer to use the plane for skydiving, means to take out the right door and the entire sits (beside pilot's).
wish to know if using this airplane for this purpose can create problems, and if there is a reason to avoid it.
just about every 182 i have seen being used for skydiving has a large step affixed to the landing gear. this is for people to use for when they want to climb out and hang on the strut or have several people outside the aircraft for a clean exist allowing the group to start the skydive as a formation. obviously you couldnt put a step on the RG if you were going to put the gear up
