Currently in total rebuild process, I have a right wing that is eligible for installation on a 170B or early 172 (172 thru 172D). This wing has been 100% disassembled. The wing had moderate surface corrosion on all skins and most other parts, severe exfoliation/intergranular on the main spar cap angle. The spar cap angle, and all skins will be replaced with new. All parts that do not clean up well will be replaced. All corrosion on remaining parts is being removed by a combination of blasting and scotchbrite. 100% of parts, both original and new will be epoxy primered individually before reassembly. Reassembly takes place with the wing installed into a control fixture to re-establish and maintain geometric symmetry and washout tolerance during repair. This wing was not damaged, just corroded. Again, the is in process, and depending upon whether it will be installed on a 170B or 172 will require us to place the cabin door catch in the proper location for the specific aircraft. Excellent condition fuel tanks also available, serviceable wing tips, flaps and ailerons. Flaps and ailerons can be rebuilt for exchange or outright purchase as well.
