Hello, Does anyone know about the temp carb hole in an original MA4SPA carb. It looks obstructed. Is it a removable plug or is it factory sealed. Can it be drilled? Thanks for your help.

Well, thanks. I won't drill. Is there a technical service to contact at the Marvel Schebler factory, or specialized shop who can tell what's what based on the type and serial number?

You may find someone with a list but the simplest thing to do would be take a look at the carb.
The plug would be located on the aft side of the carb above the floats. The carb in the picture has an ice detector senor screwed in where the plug goes.
I would a competent AP or a carb OH shop could drill and tap if the plug isn't there. There is an aluminum boss where it's threaded.
