It would be nice to see the most recent postings come up first and then page to the oldest postings when the thread covers multiple pages. I am usually interested in reading the most recent postings, and it is an inconvenience to have to page through several pages to see it.
As far as viewing different forum sections, for example, the "Web-site Q&A and Suggestions" section, the most recent posts are listed at the top. When opening a thread within this section, if more than 1 page, there is a shortcut to go straight to the last page where you can view the most recent post. Let me know if I am misunderstanding your question.

No, you are correct. I was just suggesting it might be more convenient to have the most recent posting come up when you select the thread, and then page back through older postings if desired.
I have been looking into adding a feature that takes the user to the most recent post in the thread. Just to clarify, if you mean turning the forums basically upside down by making the newest posts appear first, that is not something we are interested in doing. But as far as making it "jump" to the most recent post, I am looking into it.

As it turns out this is already implemented, just click the "last post" link located to the right of each thread listing and it will bring you to the last post in the thread.
