Do we really have an issue with spam posts? I find this spam prevent thing a pain in the butt. I vote we just turn it off, I don't recall in the past having an issue.
We appreciate the suggestion, Kevinsky18, however it is important to note that we actually had spam issues in the past. I know the image verification for non-members can be a hassle, but it is necessary as it prevents robots from mass spamming. This is a big reason why so many forums utilize the image verification.
I hope this information is useful, and keep in mind that if you ever want to bypass the image verification all you have to do is become a Cessna Owner member.
Please keep suggestions coming, the web team appreciates your input and feedback.
I am a COO member and I log in before viewing the forum, but I get the spam prevention prompt to enter the code whenever I want to post a message. Do I understand correctly from your reply to Kevinsky 18 that I should not be getting this?
You haven't specified a UserID for your account. If you log-in and it brings to you the member's homepage there will be a link on that page that will allow you to set-up your UserID.
Regardless of the reason, this spam code is so boring. It looks like one thing, and then its another. A fellow ends up trying about 3 times before his post is accepted. Your reasons are probably valid, but it is a lot of work to post.
