I've been keeping my eyes out for six-seater options, as I have four kids and wouldn't mind occasionally taking them on a trip. In August I happened upon a 1978 turbo 210M for sale in Kokomo, Indiana, and was able to close the deal. Been flying it this fall to get acclimated, and I hope to take a number of trips in it during 2026. The avionics and interior are already upgraded, so it doesn't need much work, although I added Gamis and replaced the baffles to deal with some heat issues. Now it's much cooler and I'm learning about flying LOP.

I do plan on getting a paint job at some point, so definitely interested in finding out tips and potential vendors for that.

Hello everyone. Just joined and myself and my son are first time aircraft owners. We purchased this 1965 172F at the end of March 2025. It is in very good condition mechanically and decent interior but dated. So, we are now replacing the seat upholstery, and soon the carpet and panels. It flies great and we love it.

My husband and I bought this beautiful plane just in December of 2024 and have been really enjoying flying it for everything from a weekly $100 hamburger to taking it on a air trip out to NM. I have been flying since 1993 and have always dreamed of owning my own but until we moved to TX 2 years ago, I was always able to rent. The lack of rental aircraft in my new area made me get off my tooshie and pursue that long time dream. Wish I had done this years ago.

The mechanic tells me that we have lots of tasks ahead. I will figure out a way to share the stories as we bring this great aircraft back to great shape.

Hi All, we purchased this 172D in 2021 with under 1700TT. Obtained my PPL in 2020 and as you can tell, I was a late bloomer trying to avoid an early frost! We have upgraded the avionics and currently, I am trying to work up the courage to install the airtex kit we purchased last year (helpful hints appreciated). Future upgrades may include shoulder harness. We are based at KBKE and look forward to visiting family in the NW and continuing to enjoy our local scenery as weather permits.

This is the second 182 I've owned. My 56' has a new factory motor in it (<70hrs) and i'm currently redoing the entire interior (seats, side panels & flooring).

I have a jumpdoor on the plane as I'm a skydiver and like to take my friends up to jump. The nice thing is they're all Pilots too so we take turns flying and jumping.

Like I said, I've only been a member a short time but already learning some great information. I look forward to sharing our love and interest of these aircraft and learning from you all.

My name is Ed Figuli and I'm the proud owner of N5353Q, a 1972 Cessna 150 Texas Taildragger. I've owned the plane since August of 1994. The aircraft looks nothing like it did when it came off of the line in February of 1972. In the mid 1980s the airframe converted to a tailwheel, a 150hp Lycoming O-320-E2D replaced the original Continental O-200 and a STOL kit was added to the wings. Since purchasing the aircraft the avionics have been upgraded with a PS Engineering PAR 200B Intercom/Comm/Audio Panel, Icom A220 Com, Appareo Stratus ESGi, and Garmin G5s (the vacuum system has been removed). I added Micro Vortex Generators when the aircraft was last painted in 2015. I'm in the process now of replacing the original engine with a Lycoming Factory Rebuilt O-320-E2D also rated at 150hp. The wingtips were upgraded to Knots2U with imbedded landing lights. The landing lights don't do much for taxiing as they won't point down enough to light up the runway. They do work well on approach and with the wig wagging controller the aircraft is very visible. I also added a beacon to the belly of the aircraft to enhance visibility. All of the lights have been upgraded to LEDs.

Since the picture was taken I took the wheel pants off and installed hubcaps on the wheels. I use the plane for fun mainly flying around the Mid Atlantic (think Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and Virginia) area. I'm based at the Pennridge Airport (CKZ) in Perkasie, Pennsylvania.

and became a Cessna owner myself. Here is my 1979 R172K on a mooring on LIttle Squam Lake. Loving it so far, although I do have one cylinder that tends to run hot (#3). Love to hear any advice on easy ways to loose a few pounds and increase my useful load (currently about 600lbs on the Wipare 2350A's)

This is my second go at aircraft ownership. For several years I thought long and hard about how to get back into GA flying. I defined my mission, and decided to purchase a 65 Mooney M20E a couple years ago. It’s a great cross country airplane, the performance you get for the cost to operate no complaints. There were two things that made me want to look for another airplane. I’m a fairly big guy, I thought I would get accustomed to the interior size…I never did. Secondly, the last time I had flown a piston single was in 1988 when I left my CFI job. Everything since has been piston twins and turbines. I just never got the warm and fuzzies like I had before when I was a student and CFI.

One of the piston twins I had time in was a 310R I had flown for a couple of years, so considering insurance and experience in make and model a 310 was the most logical choice for me. Plus it solved my problems I had with the Mooney and exceeded my mission parameters. The Mooney was sold and I went on the hunt. After a number of months of searching…casually. I kept reminding myself of that for some reason. I found this 65 310J in Barnstormers. It had only been listed for 5 days, it already had all the avionics I wanted, and an asking price I could work with. I had the feeling it was the one. It was pretty late in the evening when I found the listing, I thought no way he would answer my call tonight. The owner picked up on the first ring. I thought this was a sign.

I flew up to Syracuse, New York two days later to check her out. The sale went very smooth. There were a couple items I wanted worked on before I flew it home, and that took awhile because every shop around is so backed logged. I recently got her home in the new hanger and I couldn’t be any happier.

I've been a member for years, but haven't submitted anything on this forum. This is my little bird. She's a 1979 Citation II. She's been upgraded with a nice Jet Tech panel. It's all Garmin. Twin G700txi PFD's, and twin GTN750xi nav/com radios. Also a Garmin GI 275 as a backup. 7 passenger seats and 2 pilot seats plus a galley and a lav. She's a pretty bird, though a bit thirsty for Jet-A.

Proud owner of a 1982 R182 with the Airplains IO540 300 HP conversation. Great airplane so far! Additionally, being Southern California (LGB/POC/CCB) based I conduct extensive Baja Mexico operations in my 1969 Cessna 150. See you all soon!

I’m the 4th owner, it has the original gauges minus the vor and radio, no ADSB, comms is a portable that was mounted in the panel, so… I need a go fund me page 😁 she flies to the moon though! I’m kinda long in the tooth to be student pilot, working on my check ride now.

I am new to the forum. I am currently looking in the marketplace for a C441. I joined this forum in the hopes of connecting with other 441 owners. However, I haven’t seen much here that points in that direction. Even filling out the form to join there was no C441 even listed on the drop down menu. Did I miss something or is there a completely different organization for the 441?

Our ‘new’ to us family sedan. Starting it’s new life East of the Mississippi River

The panel has been upgraded (a new Garmin 750 will also be added in January), but most of the interior is original (it is in amazingly good shape probably due to always being hangered). The paint is around 20 years old, but doesn’t look it at all. I did the design myself and had Lancaster Aero do the painting. The plex windows are also original.

Right before it got cold, I started working on polishing the plane using a couple of Rupes polishes applied with a DA polisher. The results were pretty good.
