C90 Continental mod for vaccum pump

edited May 2019 in Modifications

Can a vaccum pump be installed on the accessory section of a C90 engine? I own a Cessna 140 with a C90 engine and a venturi tube for the AI and DG. Suction pressure is low but AI works ok but DG does not. Is one venturi not enough for both instruments? That is why I'm concidering a vaccum pump instead if possible.

If it's not on the type certificate (you can check the type certificate on the FAA website), then you'll need an STC which will also lead you to the FAA website. Ten or fifteen minutes of research should get you your answer. Good luck!
