Went 400 past TBO. Now it is time to major my 1959 182 engine.
Any suggestions on items to consider which might enhance performance and or Utility at overhaul?
Have you decided on: New versus zero-timed versus overhaul? What shops are you looking at? Is your baffling okay (1959 is a long time with original baffling). Accessories?

field overhaul. Baffling is fair to good, not original. Definitely going to dump the oil screen for a filter adapter. Not sure what else might be good. Thought about electronic ignition.
Six months ago I installed an Electroair electronic ignition on my Continental. There's no such thing as a hot start anymore. I've very happy.
