N8812X, 182D, 1961
I purchased this project to hopefully save it from the Skydiving clubs nearby.
The mechanic tells me that we have lots of tasks ahead. I will figure out a way to share the stories as we bring this great aircraft back to great shape.

Welcome aboard, N8812X! We look forward to following your progress. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve always loved the looks of the fast back 182 with the 3rd window! Good luck with your project.
She has potential! I can't wait to watch the restoration!

UPDATE – We’re Moving the Story to a New Home
Thanks to everyone who’s followed along with this project so far! It’s been a blast sharing the progress—tail feathers off to Airframe Components for work on the right and left elevator pivot rivets, propeller pulled and over to Stockton Propeller for red dye inspection, and the full aircraft inspection completed with racks set up just for N-8812X’s parts.
Moving forward, I’ll be posting all the newest photos, restoration updates, and adventure plans in a brand-new thread we just created. This will make it easier to follow along as N-8812X’s journey unfolds—from the restoration shop to flying adventures around the Pacific Northwest.
You can find the new thread here: A New Northwest Chapter: Bringing N-8812X Back to Life
See you there for the latest on the Skylane’s transformation and future flights!
Sweet! Carl
