Data cards for g1000

I’ve moved form a Malibu to a 2011 G1000 182T
I’m familiar with downloading data cards for Gns 530 waas but need to buy a new device with which to download to the cards for the g1000. What is recommended for this ? I’ve seen the Wombat mentioned.
