1966 182J

Hello All, my sister and I are owners of a 1966 182J with just over 1800 hours total time. From our uncle, then father, and now us, it has been in the family since 1970.

The panel has been upgraded (a new Garmin 750 will also be added in January), but most of the interior is original (it is in amazingly good shape probably due to always being hangered). The paint is around 20 years old, but doesn’t look it at all. I did the design myself and had Lancaster Aero do the painting. The plex windows are also original.

Right before it got cold, I started working on polishing the plane using a couple of Rupes polishes applied with a DA polisher. The results were pretty good.

  • Not only is that a great looking plane, but that's also the cleanest hangar I've ever seen!

Lancaster Aero, at Smoketown S37? We recently had our 182H there for an estimate, looking to paint sometime in '25.
