Aurora Borealis pics.
On Friday I spent about 4 hours of IFR time building with 3.5 under the hood, wrapped up around 9pm and went home for the night. After washing up and settling in for the evening at home my calendar reminder informed me of the light show that was predicted outside so I stepped out to see. I was back in the car on my way to the hangar in about 15 min after seeing the reds and purples in the sky.
I brought my Nikon D850 along with me to get higher res pics than the phone would be able to capture and have a lot more control.
Here are a few shots I got, including one of the local Cub Club plane with the tail beacon streak of a 172 landing.
let me know what you think.
