Interior Plastic Replacement Help
Hi all,
The interior plastic in the cargo area of my '79 Q model is in very sad shape, and I'm going to replace it all when annual time rolls around this April. That being said, I'm looking at 3 suppliers and getting VASTLY different prices for the exact same parts. Here is what I found; for the same 4 sidewall pieces in the cargo area and a solid headliner from Vantage is $1073, from P.A.S.T. (Premier Aerostore) is $1815 (same mfr. as Knots2U), and finally from Texas AeroPlastics is $2195.
So my question is: is one vendor really 200% better than another? Is there one vendor to avoid? How is the quality of parts from these vendor? Fitting/trimming issues? Recommendations one way or another?
I don't have a problem paying more for better parts, but won't pay more just to pay more!
Any feedback you can provide is welcome.
Bill.

Hi Bill,
I have some experience with both Vantage and Knots2U and can say their parts and customer service were excellent. Other members who have experience with plastic parts from these and other vendors will be able to offer additional opinions.
Regards,
Mike
Hi Bill,
I've purchased both Vantage and Knots2U for my 1972 182P and had good luck with both. Vantage had better availability of the specific part numbers I needed and I purchased most if what I needed from them. You will likely need to trim the edges to get them to fit right. I found that an electric oscillating saw is the perfect tool for that. I also recommend you call Vantage and go over the part numbers you need to make sure you get the right ones rather than rely on what is on the internet.
I like Vantage too, for the same reasons. Alva, Oklahoma is a shorter shipping distance anywhere in the US as well. They had panels for my 182A. Nice people too.
