Volunteer Pilots Needed to Transport Patients

Patient AirLift Services (PALS) SkyHope is a nonprofit that arranges free flights for medical patients requiring medical diagnosis, treatment, or follow-up who cannot afford or are unable to fly commercially. Their goal is to alleviate the transportation issues that create a financial burden for families in need so they can focus on medical care and treatment.

SkyHope's range covers only the U.S., east of the Mississippi River. Plane size doesn’t matter, and 1 to 2 flights/year are very much appreciated.

This worthy organization is advertising in our print magazines looking for volunteer pilots. If you fit this mission, please consider volunteering today. Here are the requirements. And here are some of the success stories, including children that have beaten cancer due to the compassion of pilots.

Thank you!

  • Besides PALS SkyHope, there are other organizations throughout the U.S. that provide transportation for medical, compassion, and animal transport that are looking for pilot and ground support volunteers.

The Air Care Alliance has a list of organizations where you can find one in your area: https://www.aircarealliance.org/getting-assistance/directory-of-groups

I volunteer for Angel Flight West. This year at EAA Airventure, I had the opportunity to meet several people from various organizations, including PALS SkyHope, at the Air Care Alliance booth and the forums for benefit flying.
