First-time owner of a T210, based in Indiana

Hello! I recently joined this organization and am looking forward to learning from others here in my journey as a pilot and as a Cessna T210 owner. I started flying about five years ago, and have completed my private and my instrument rating. I took lessons at KUMP (Indy Metro) and KTYQ (Indy Executive).

I've been keeping my eyes out for six-seater options, as I have four kids and wouldn't mind occasionally taking them on a trip. In August I happened upon a 1978 turbo 210M for sale in Kokomo, Indiana, and was able to close the deal. Been flying it this fall to get acclimated, and I hope to take a number of trips in it during 2026. The avionics and interior are already upgraded, so it doesn't need much work, although I added Gamis and replaced the baffles to deal with some heat issues. Now it's much cooler and I'm learning about flying LOP.

I do plan on getting a paint job at some point, so definitely interested in finding out tips and potential vendors for that.
