Use of White Lighting GPU with Cessna T182T

I am interested in purchasing a White Lighting GPU for my 2006 Cessna T182T with g1000 avionics. Does anyone have experience with using one with their C182? The salesman does not know if I should get the 35 amp model or the 50 amp model (24/28V model). Does anyone know how much juice the avionics will pull when they are first turned on?

I would use the unit to only do database updates and to play with the g1000 system while the plane is shut down.
