Larger main gear tires

I have a 1961 150A converted to conventional gear. Thought I might like to go to an 800-6 instead of the 600-6 I have on the airplane. Not really wanting to get off airport landings but for sure off pavement. Not sure if there is an STC for that or where to look. Any help is welcome.

Hi and thanks for writing. Here's a link to search for an STC: https://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgSTC.nsf/MainFrame?OpenFrameSet

  • I had found the STC on the FAA website, but there is no contact information. How do I contact the STC holder?

Hmmm. Can you send me back a link to the STC? There should be an owner listed.

  • The FAA has an STC listed for the 8.00 X 6 tire for the cessna 150. SA00081AT. Looks like it is for a Wilga? Thanks for the help.
