Over gross cessna 150

Anyone have experience flying the 150 over gross?

    I’m willing to bet most people who have flown a Cessna 150 have flown it over gross but I doubt many are willing to admit to it. 🤪

  • I weigh 260. If i add baggage to the remaining useful load its about 140lbs . I guess i could fly with less fuel if someone wanted a ride😀

  • With two people in our 150G, taking off right at gross is easy enough to accomplish if you want to stay aloft for any amount of time. I recently did the NYC Skyline VFR roundtrip from 44N with my buddy, and we left with 3/4 fuel only because of that. On a hot summer day, how does that saying go, she climbs like a home sick boat anchor?
